27 Oct Endless Summer Part II
My primary focus for the rest of summer was one word: fun! At first I made a list of everything I wanted to get done during my time off – organize closets, purge the attic etc. and then I threw it away and spent every second I could with my girls having as much fun as possible. We went to the beach, ate ice cream, had picnics, made forts, stayed up late. It was wonderful. I have to tell you I’m not sorry about the messy closets. I think I enjoyed it more than they did.
There was a particularly special moment when we rescued this guy from the ocean. He stayed on my hand like that for 20 minutes until his wings dried. I couldn’t help but feel like that was a good omen. I doubt that will happen twice in my life.
Now that my girls are back in school and we are all happy to be settling into our Fall routine. The weather is beautiful and I’m starting to focus what I want to do this Fall and the special moments I want to create for my friends and family.
I’m coaching full time now with both my private clients and patients at Equilibrium Weight Loss and Longevity. I just love it! I’m so proud of my clients making positive changes in their lives and it is so rewarding to see them become proud of themselves. They literally light up as they get excited about their lives again.
Mostly I am just plain grateful for hope, faith and hard work – the combination of which allowed me to transform my life. I wake up every day and do what I love. I’m meeting extraordinary people and I’m grateful for the privilege of helping them. I’m grateful for more time with my children and my family and friends. There are certain moments in life when you just take pause to recognize that your cup runneth over. This is that moment for me.
